my simile poem

WALT understand the structure of a simile poem and write our own about a member of our family or someone we find inspirational

   My baby brother

My brother is silly like a monkey.

He is cute just like a kitten.

He is as loud as a concert.

He is as entertaining as watching tv.

He is as airy as a fairy and loves to play like a puppy,

                      My baby brother.

Albatross bio poem

 Albatross bio poem

WALT: take information from a non fiction text to complete a bio poem.

Toroa

Snow white, Royal, Traveller, Docile

Lover of their preferred habitat the freezing Southern Ocean.

Who feels a groovy when dancing on the dance floor with mates.

Who needs their nutritious diet squid, octopus scallops and fish from the salty blue moana.

Who gave valued adornments for Maori in the late 1700s and 1800s.

Who fears the terrifying tori lines with scary banners, even though they keep the toroa from getting hooked.

Who would like pollution from oil, pesticides and rubbish to come to a end and leave their moana crystal clear.

Who comes from a distant family of penguins 65 million years ago.
